  • Before the truffles are almost done freezing, start prepping the chocolate chips for coating. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, remaining Nutella, and vegetable oil. Place the bowl into the microwave for 30 seconds. Take the bowl out of the microwave using an oven mitt and stir the mixture with a spatula. Use caution as the bowl may be hot. Continue this process until chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to overcook the chocolate.
  • Take the truffles out of the freezer and dip into the melted chocolate to coat. Use a spoon to help coat the truffle entirely. Once covered, place the truffle onto the parchment paper lined tray. Continue until each truffle is covered. Before the chocolate coating starts to set, decorate with festive sprinkles.
